How to use the service

Guidance on how to use the service to either rent a council, housing association or co-operative property.

Step 1: Registration

You can apply for properties through Homeseekers if you are registered on the housing register or are a Tower Hamlets Council or Partner Housing Association tenant seeking a transfer.

Step 2: Choosing

You can bid for up to three suitable properties from Friday to Thursday, but bids will not be accepted after midnight on Thursday.

Step 3 - Offer

Bids are ranked by priority, and the top applicant is usually invited to view the property unless disqualified. Refusing three offers drops your band position for 12 months.

Step 4 - Feedback

This information will give you a better idea of how popular a particular property or area is and how long you would normally have to wait.
